Homework that comes back, corrected, before the next session.
Tutors give homework from the session, students hand it in as photos or PDFs, and families get an email when it is given and when it is corrected.
Given from the session
Name it, add instructions, a worksheet or questions, and make it due at the student’s next session. In a group, each student gets their own copy.
Handed in from a phone
Students take a photo or add a PDF in the portal. A parent can hand it in for a younger child.
Corrected in one place
Tutors see what is waiting, sorted by each student’s next session, and send back corrected pages, a note or both.
Families in the loop
Families get an email when homework is given and when it is corrected, in English or French, and tutors get a 7 a.m. email on days with new hand-ins.
The outcome: Practice between sessions, corrected before the next one.
Due at the next session, not on a date someone has to remember
Homework given at the end of a session is naturally due at the next one, so that is the first choice: due at the student’s next booked session with that tutor. A tutor can also pick a date, or give it with no due date at all. Students see what they owe on their portal home page with a Hand in button, and late work is still accepted and simply marked late.
A homework library, with answer keys only staff can see
Each lesson and course in your library can hold homework: instructions, questions, files, a link, and an answer key that families never see. Build with AI drafts practice questions at the lesson’s level, easier or harder, with the answer key if you ask for one, and nothing is saved until a person has checked it. When a tutor gives library homework, the student gets their own copy, so improving the library later never changes work already handed out.
Correcting is the part that counts
The Homework page has three lists: to correct, not handed in, and corrected. Each hand-in opens with its pages, or as one PDF, and the tutor uploads corrected pages, writes a note, or both, then moves on to the next one waiting. If the work was gone over together in the session, one click closes it without sending anything. There are no marks: a correction is feedback for the student, not a gradebook.
Built for a family’s phone
Students hand in up to ten pages, from the phone’s camera or as files. Photos are resized on the phone before they upload, which also strips their location data, and a parent can hand in for a younger child from the Children’s corner. The family is told by email when homework is given and when it comes back corrected, and each of those emails can be switched off in your automations.
